Functional Training Classes in Ballinasloe
Every TRAIN 60 class is coached from start to finish, in groups small enough that you’re actually seen. Whether it’s your first week in a gym or your fifth year training, the workout gets scaled to you. Right challenge, right coaching, results from day one.
Who functional fitness is for
It works for far more people than you’d think. Most of our members aren’t athletes. They’re busy parents, people back after a long time away, over-40s building strength for the first time, and anyone who has had enough of drifting through a gym floor guessing.
The workout is the same for everyone. What changes is the load, the movement and the intensity, adjusted by your coach so you get the right session for where you are today rather than where someone else is.
Benefits
Why train at TOSÚ Training Club?
Coaching that actually coaches
Nobody stands with a stopwatch and calls it coaching. Our coaches teach the movement, correct you while you’re doing it, and make sure you’re progressing rather than just surviving the hour. You’ll learn to lift, move and train properly.
One hour, zero guesswork
Warm-up, strength or skill work, conditioning and cool-down, all inside sixty minutes. You walk in, follow the coaching, work hard, and leave knowing you got everything you needed. No standing around wondering what to do next.
People who make you want to show up
The community isn’t a marketing line, it’s the reason most members stay. You’ll train beside people who remember your first day, notice when you’re not there, and are genuinely glad when you hit something new.
This isn’t a random workout every day
Most gyms write tomorrow’s session tomorrow. Ours are planned in cycles, so the work you do this week builds on last week and sets up the next.
Strength cycles you can see progress in
We run strength in blocks lasting several weeks, working the same core lifts week after week with rising demand. That’s why members find themselves lifting numbers in month four they’d have called impossible in month one. Random daily workouts can’t do this.
Conditioning that builds an engine
The conditioning is planned across the week so you get a mix of short and hard, long and steady, and everything between. You’re not being smashed for the sake of it. Each session has a purpose and a target you can measure.
Benchmarks and regular testing
We retest the same workouts and lifts at set points in the year, so progress is a number you can point at rather than a feeling. It’s the clearest answer to the question most people carry into a gym, which is whether any of this is working.
Scaled to you, every single session
Everyone in the room does the same class, but your version of it. Your coach adjusts the weight, the movement or the pace so a beginner and a competitive member can train side by side and both get exactly the right stimulus.
Duration:
Classes run 60 minutes. Most members train three to five times a week, though plenty start on two or three and build from there. We’ll help you find what’s sustainable.
Functional Fitness FAQs
Is functional fitness right for beginners?
Yes, and most of our members started as one. Every class is scaled, so beginners train in the same room as experienced members and both get the right session. If you’re brand new, we’ll start you with our On-Ramp so you learn the movements properly before jumping in.
What if I'm nervous about my first class?
Almost everyone is, and we’d be surprised if you weren’t. You’ll have a free intro before you train, so you’ll have already met a coach and walked the floor. You won’t be picked out, tested, or asked to do anything you’re not ready for.
What if I have injuries or physical limitations?
Tell us at your intro and we’ll work around it. Coaches adjust movements every session, whether it’s a dodgy shoulder, a bad back or something you’re still rehabbing. Working around limitations is a normal part of the job, not a special case.
Do I need to get fit before I start?
No. That’s the loop that keeps people out of gyms for years. Getting fit is what the classes are for, and the coaching exists precisely so you don’t have to arrive already capable.
How is this different from a normal gym?
A normal gym sells you access. You get a key card and you’re on your own. Here you get a coach in the room for every session, a programme that progresses, and a group that expects you. That’s why people stay for years rather than months.
