Our story.
Gym in Ballinasloe, Co. Galway
John Allen-Glynn left a career in transport to open TOSÚ in 2021. The gap he saw in Ballinasloe wasn’t equipment, it was coaching. Somewhere ordinary people get taught properly rather than handed a membership card and left to it.
Meet your coaches at TOSÚ Training Club
Our coaches invest in people, not just programs. From your first session, they’re learning how you move, what drives you, and where you want to get to — then coaching you accordingly, every single time.

Our Mission
How TOSÚ Training Club started
John spent years in the transport industry, coaching in his spare time. Coaching was the part he thought about on the drive home. In 2021 he stopped splitting his attention and opened the doors on Canal Drive.
The thinking behind it was straightforward. Most gyms already work well for people who are fit. Everyone else gets a tour, a direct debit and good luck. TOSÚ was built the other way round, so the person in their first session gets as much coaching attention as the one chasing a HYROX time.
Five years of doing it has taught us where results actually come from. Not extreme diets, not training seven days a week. They come from turning up consistently, being coached by someone who knows what they’re looking at, and belonging to a group that notices when you go missing.
Miriam co-runs the club with John, Edel and Christian coach alongside them, and the members do most of the rest. The best part of the job hasn’t changed: watching someone do something in week twelve they’d have laughed at in week one.
